Camp Habitat Job Opportunities


Summer Camps (June - July)
Summer Camp Instructors - We will be hiring 2008 camp staff beginning in March 2008. Please call 452-5021, ext. 31 for more details. Instructors plan and facilitate fun, engaging outdoor nature education sessions with groups of 8-10 children, ages 4-11. Download the job description.  

Junior Counselors - We also hire high school students, ages 16-18, who assist the instructors. Download the job description and the application.

After School Programs (August - May)
After School Program Instructor - We are now hiring instructors for the 2007-08 school year! Qualified instructors plan and facilitate nature education activities for groups of elementary and middle school students at local schools. Download the job description.

Volunteers Welcome!

Our success depends on the hard work of countless volunteers. We are happy to match you up with a project! Call the Camp Habitat office at 452-5021 ext. 31. or email us.

Ways to volunteer...

  • Be a guest speaker and talk with young people about aquatic insects, sustainable agriculture, rivers, forests, birds, or any special nature interest you may have. We love new ideas!
  • Help during summer camps with daily sign-in, sign-out, activities and hikes
  • Come help with the Creamer's Garden. Families are welcome to reap the harvest with their campers
  • Help with set up and take down at our annual Earth Day and Tex-Mex Dinner fundraisers
  • Provide baked goods for fundraisers
  • Attend family day at camp
  • Spread the word - tell people about Camp Habitat
